Christmas Bazaar

Saturday November 25th 2017, our wonderful Trustee and fundraiser, Fiona Earle MBE – whilst running 2 other stalls at All Saints Church, Hertford, Christmas Bazaar – managed to add another dedicated to helping Aschiana.

The colourful array of goods, included cards bearing original paintings by street working children in Afghanistan, scarves, shawls, jewellery and Afghan pakol hats. It also included cards with Fiona’s own beautiful botanical paintings, and china mugs bearing the same designs.

As always, she included bottles of the delicious pure apple juice, professionally made and pasteurised from apples organically grown in her orchard in Hertfordshire.

In all, Fiona’s Christmas stall raised over £230 for Aschiana, and to put that into practical terms – as the winters in Kabul are so severe, we are determined to help support the Hot Meal a Day programme at Aschiana –  in one day she has raised the funds to supply over 920 hot meals for some of the most deprived children in the world. We are extremely grateful to her for her hard work on behalf of Aschiana’s street working boys and girls in Afghanistan.

It costs just .25p to provide a hot, freshly cooked meal to our children in Aschiana. We have 800 children in the main school, and many more to be reached in the IDP camps. Please give what you can this winter. Thank you.
